There's more in earth and heaven

La'a KEA - Official branch of Jikiden Reiki Institute near Winchester, Hampshire, U.K.
Debbie Cook is an accredited Jikiden Reiki SHIHAN TEACHER.

La'a Kea means 'shining light' and it's what we feel when we share natural reiki energy for personal health improvement.

You've heard of reiki; maybe you've received reiki.  You are looking for something more in life.  Perhaps reiki can help you to reach the next level of insight, of appreciation, of consciousness.

If you have an open mind, it can be mind-blowing.

Mikao Usui founded reiki as the result of universal reiki energy penetrating his soul and body during a fast on Mount Kurama, near Kyoto, Japan, in 1922 – an experience that could certainly be described as mind-blowing.  And the enlightenment that he had long sought gave him amazing powers of healing.

Intention and spirit is key.
La'akea Reiki is dedicated to using natural energy
for personal health and wellbeing.

WHY ME?

Not I, but the wind that blows through me

Jikiden Reiki practitioners are a very self-effacing lot, because we believe that it is vital to absent the ego from the session in order for the receiver and the practitioner to gain the greatest benefit.  Nevertheless, if you are thinking of joining one of my courses, it is only natural that you will want to know a little about me.

Having first learnt western reiki in early 2007, I researched the different forms and retrained in Jikiden Reiki later the same year.  I have learnt and practised in Kyoto, Japan (where Jikiden Reiki was founded) in April 2008 and again in September 2010.

I love what reiki does for others and for me.  And I would love to share that experience with you.

Treatments a simple means to overcome physical, emotional and mindset issues

Healing for all ... by all

Jikiden Reiki practitioners believe that everyone has huge potential to be helped and healed, if we can just find the right connection.  We believe that the universe only wants what is best for us, and that our sub-conscious does the same.  If we can connect the sub-conscious to the universe by means of reiki, then we can facilitate that helping and healing process.

With ease, peace and calm, we use reiki energy to treat your ailments.  Reiki is beneficial for physical and mental issues such as stress, exhaustion, anxiety and phobias.

"When I was 6, I nearly drowned.  Ever since, I have been scared of water.  At the age of 50, I decided that I needed to do something about this and learn to swim.  I was still scared stiff.  After one 30-minute, non-physical treatment from Debbie, I went to my next swimming lesson, got in and swam a length without hesitation." (D.R., Hampshire)

Recovery without effort

Receiving a treatment is simple, relaxing and effortless.  An experience to be savoured and returned to.

A reiki treatment allows you to reach a deep state of mental and physical relaxation, thus enabling the whole body to recharge and heal itself naturally.

A reiki treatment session generally lasts for 60-90 minutes dependent on the issue.

"I had had a bad back for six months.  Repeated trips to both a chiropractor and a physio failed to resolve my problem.  Debbie gave me a 45-minute session of reiki, which was very relaxing and after which my back felt totally different.  Over the next couple of weeks, my back pain eased completely.  It was amazing." (J.B., Hampshire)

Course philosophy

Following: the courses that I run follow the teachings handed down from Michao Usui, the founder of reiki.  After them, you will receive a Japanese certificate from the Institute of Jikiden Reiki.

I took the road less travelled by,
and that has made all the difference

Fulfilling: the courses are very absorbing – they take all of your body, mind and soul – and thus very fulfilling.  Indeed, after the two-day course, you can be a practitioner, and even after the one-day course, you may give non-physical treatments and distance healing.
Focused: the courses are very focused.  Experience has taught us that a group of between four and six people is the ideal number – enough for there to be many experiences shared within the group, but few enough for me to be able to give each student a lot of individual attention.
Flexible: I run regular courses at set locations, but I can also run courses at different times in different places to suit your needs.  I have offered courses across a number of evenings – as an alternative to weekends.  And I have given courses in different parts of the country where there is a suitable venue.
Fun: Jikiden Reiki is a serious undertaking with traditions and teachings that should be observed.  However, we are all human and I pride myself on making the experience of the courses enjoyable for you.

There are 2 courses available.

Why JIKIDEN Reiki ? Four degrees of separation
An established complementary health technique originating in japan and accessing our natural energy

Jikiden means "directly taught," and this is the essential differentiator between Jikiden Reiki and other 'western' forms of the practice.

As registered Jikiden Reiki practitioners, we are only a few steps removed from Mikao Usui, who founded reiki in 1922.  I myself am just four teachers removed from him: you can see my lineage on the right.

We feel that this direct line connects us very strongly to the essence of reiki in its purest form, with beliefs and methods handed down the lineage undiluted.

Jikiden Reiki is reiki as it was originally taught in Japan.  A pure, simple and effective energy healing system with its roots originating from the teachings of the founder, Mikao Usui.

Japanese reiki, nothing more, nothing less, practised with the original attitudes and intent.

I chose Jikiden Reiki specifically for its integrity and authenticity which is taught in a precise framework free of western influence.

My journey with reiki began in 2007, initially with western reiki training and then with Jikiden Reiki training. After several years of practising reiki and further training in the UK and Kyoto Japan, I am a fully qualified jikiden reiki shihan teacher and practitioner.

I can offer a wealth of experience to newcomers who wish to take the first step into this amazingly wonderful world of reiki.  Reiki has changed my life enormously on the spiritual, mental and physical levels.

Are you ready to make a change in your world?
